NCIS

NCISLogo

The main NCIS stories can be found in the links below. Shorts from the Big Short prompts can be found on the Big Short page.

All Your Reasons

All Your Reasons

Bruce Banner has a list of reasons why he’s not looking for a guide and isn’t interested in bonding. After a chance encounter in the streets of DC, the Hulk is clearly on board with having found their guide. Once Tony gets past being plucked up, sniffed, and taken away, he manages to accept a sentinel with a serious multiple personality disorder. Bruce is clearly outnumbered.

Character Bio: Tony DiNozzo

Tony is my unicorn. I can’t imagine writing an NCIS story without him in it. I use the same biographical data for him in almost all my fic. Here’s what that is and why I do it this way.

De Novo

Tony DiNozzo/Ian Edgerton (Numb3rs). Crossover with Criminal Minds.

Two months into Tony’s run as team leader after Gibbs’ departure for Mexico, Jenny Shepard realizes things are not going well for the MCRT and decides to intervene. She forces Tony to make a choice, and he finds that sometimes, the best thing is to just start again.

Everything They Said

Everything They Said

Steve was finally feeling settled back in Hawaii, and his task force was solid. Everything was going the way he wanted until guide traffickers managed to abduct seven guides. During the investigation, Steve realized the guide he didn’t know he had was among the missing.

For You… (Series)

Tony DiNozzo/Ethan Moore

After his wedding plans fall apart, Tony reconnects with his an old flame, eventually taking his life in a new direction.

Fracture

NCIS/Leverage Sentinel Fusion. Tony DiNozzo/Eliot Spencer

Tony DiNozzo has been looking for his sentinel with no success. He’s certain his sentinel is already online but can’t locate him. Someone ran a con to hide Eliot from the S&G Center, and Tony’s determined to figure out who and find his sentinel.

I Wasn’t Waiting For You

Hotch is an unbonded guide with no interest in finding his sentinel. He prefers it with the BAU, and a sentinel could get in the way. Tony is able to function highly as an unbonded sentinel, and he’s fine with the situation the way it is. When their paths cross while Hotch works a case in New York, their disinterest is put to the test, especially when Hotch is in the path of a killer.

If Found, Please Return

NCIS/Stargate: Atlantis Crossover

After Tony is cleared from the attempt by Chip to frame him for murder, his life takes an unexpected turn. The FBI discovers that Tony DiNozzo is the missing son of Patrick Sheppard — kidnapped from the hospital shortly after his birth.

Imperfect

Tony DiNozzo/Derek Morgan, Sentinel Fusion

Summary: After rescuing Ziva from Somalia, Tony comes online as a powerful guide. The Center says he has a perfect match, the ideal sentinel, waiting for him. But his sentinel isn’t interested. As Tony finds his way into a new future, he finds that something imperfect can be what he actually needs.

Memories

While in Mexico, Gibbs is asked to return to NCIS after Tony uncovers some disturbing things about Ziva and Director Shepard. With his memory still sketchy, he settles back into life in DC without Tony and discovers just what he’s been missing. (Tony/Gibbs)

Vicious

Tony DiNozzo was used to his life changing unexpectedly. A broken leg in college turned him in the direction of becoming a police officer, a gunshot wound that nearly crippled him brought him to forensics, and now, coming online as a guide was going to take him someplace a little vicious.

Emergence

Gibbs is the Alpha Dragon for the east coast Wing… and the lead for the NCIS MCRT. He has two rules above all others; No other emerged dragons on his NCIS team, and no relationships with non-dragons.

Tony has no dragon blood, so hides his feelings for Gibbs behind smiles and misdirection. How will things change for Tony when he mysteriously falls ill after an investigation on an aircraft carrier?

The Journey Home

After Tony assaults a guide at a crime scene, an old friend brings the Alpha Guide of North America to DC to investigate Tony’s claim of guide misconduct. This starts Tony on a new path away from DC and NCIS, and he finally finds a place to call home

Death of Silence

Death of Silence

When Tony is seriously injured during a routine assignment to collect voiceprints, Gibbs must deal with his conflicted feelings for Tony, as well as the destruction of his team. Gibbs/DiNozzo

I just wanted you to know I just found this story and stayed up to 2 am on a work night and am currently running around my room doing the Kermit flail and squeeeing like a thirteen year old. I didn’t know I had this kind of energy at my age. I can’t wait for more, and I hope you have another story in the what I hope is a series.

Help The ePub file won’t open after it’s downloaded.

    1. I assume you mean for the Journey Home? I just tested it and have no issue. Last time this happened it was a problem, oddly enough, with the reader’s network connection and it was corrupting the file during download. I can try sending you a zipped copy of the epub and see if that makes a difference. Please use the contact form on my main page to send me your email address.

Hey there! I just thought I should pop over here and tell you how much I love your fics, and that I cant wait to see if you produce anymore! I’m in love with the worlds you build in a relatively short amount of words. I don’t know if this is something you an interest in, but I couldn’t resist making cover art for your fic emergence. Please let me know if it is okay to publish it! 🙂

    1. Hi. Thanks so much. I appreciate the feedback, and art is always a lovely gift. I can’t imagine I wouldn’t be okay with it, but would like to have a look at it first, if you don’t mind. You can email me at jillianjames.x@gmail.com. And if you’re agreeable, I can also put it up with my other art. Thanks again!

Will you be adding” If Found, Please Return” to this site? I love this story. And will there be a sequel?

    1. It will be on my site after I edit it and send it to beta. I do not have a schedule for that yet.

I have a sequel plotted, but I may never get to it, so I’m not making any promises.

Okay, I’m feeling blind here. I’m more of a Jilly James fan than an NCIS fic fan (although I do like NCIS), and there’s a story that’s bugging me. It’s Gibbs/Tony, and Tony puts his foot down about behavior in the MCRT. The result is a doubled team with 2 Coleads. You see some time with the working team and sorting out the growing pains.
Have I lost my mind ?

    1. That sounds like Intuitive. Check my evil author day page. I’m mobile so it’s not easy to get the link.

Hi Jilly–Love your stories. Every few months I would go back to re-read them. Have my favorite of course. But here is a thought. All you your stories seemed open ended. Example: Vicious & De Novo. I kept waiting for more.

    1. Vicious is open ended by design as I plan a sequel to get through their bonding and the plot with Roberts. De Novo is complete as it is. What people perceive as open ended is just their own curiosity about what happens when Gibbs comes back, but that doesn’t make the story open ended. It just means they’re curious about the fallout of the changes Tony made. I do plan a sequel for De Novo, but I don’t feel the story is remotely unfinished.

      Other stories that are complete:
      Imperfect
      If Found, Please Return
      Anomaly
      Death of Silence
      Fracture
      Memories
      Option C
      All Your Reasons
      Everything They Said

I may write more on these stories or leave them as they are. But they are complete the way they are. Just because a reader thinks I could tell more stories in that verse doesn’t mean the story is incomplete. I could look at any story I’ve enjoyed reading and say the author could write more in the verse. So what? That doesn’t mean the story isn’t finished. There are only two stories on my site that I think *need* a sequel and Vicious is one of them.

I had read your stories on AO3 and when they vanished, I searched and was fortunate to find this site. Read everything NCIS you have posted, and enjoyed all of it immensely. I have read If Found, Please Return an embarrassing number of times, it is such a good story, I keep going back and re-reading it. Thank you for the hours of reading pleasure you have provided, and I am looking forward to anything else you may share with us. I am also a fan of Lady Ra’s and have read some of her stories so often I practically have them memorized. Was delighted to see you list her as one of your favorites as well.
